The exhibition unfolds chronologically, and is composed of seven thematic chapters: the landscape of the port and of the Haifa Bay; the figure of the port worker; the maritime kibbutzim; clandestine and legal immigrants, pilgrims and tourists; the port's construction up until its official opening in October 1933; and other topics, including the export-import industry, cargo handling and other events related to the history of the port. This unique exhibition presents a vast array of photographs taken by the best local photographers over a period of 130 years.
