The exhibition focuses on the events and institutions that played a central part in the city's urban development: cultural and entertainment establishments, educational institutions, the opening of the port in 1933 and the expansion of the public transportation system.
The exhibition also pays homage to the photographers and photography shops that operated in Haifa over the years. These include the Brenner photography shop and photographers such as Julian Phirst, the Norda sisters, Charlotte Mayer, Hanan Sadeh, Moshe Gross and Amiram Erev, who scrupulously recorded urban activities and events.
In addition to the exhibition's historical chapter, the Templar school features a group exhibition of works by Israeli photographers, including Yigal Shem Tov, Gilad Ophir, Orit Siman-Tov, Ayelet Hashacher Cohen, Avraham Eilat, Ofer Shafrir, Honi Hamaagal and Nurit Sharett.
